Fix or remove an at-bat

Both apps keep these controls on the at-bat itself rather than in a menu, which is why they are easy to miss. On the web a pencil and a trash icon sit at the right-hand end of every row in the game's at-bat list — in a wide window they appear when you point at the row or tab to it, and in a narrow one they are always showing. On the phone you tap the row to open the at-bat, and the trash icon is in the top right of that screen.

Fixing one first. The same form on both platforms: the outcome, where the ball landed, the batted-ball type, RBIs, whether you scored, and stolen bases. The at-bat keeps its place in the game, so nothing is renumbered and nothing has to be recorded again.

Deleting is the same two places, and both platforms ask before they do it. There is no undo either way, so the question is the only thing standing between a mis-click and a lost plate appearance.

If you scored the game play-by-play, corrections happen in the play log instead, and at-bats can't be deleted from the game screen at all. While a game is still being scored, the rows stop opening: the phone explains that the log owns corrections and offers Open play log, and the web hides both icons and says the same thing above the list. Once the game is final the rows open again, but only part way — the hit location and the batted-ball type are still yours to fix, while the outcome, RBIs, runs and steals are read-only with a link to the log, and there is no trash icon. Removing one of those at-bats would mean removing the play it came from, and that is done in the log, where everything after it is recalculated.

Clearing a whole game is the other reason people come looking for this. Score this game live is only offered on a team game nobody has recorded on, so emptying a game is what brings that row back. Take the at-bats off one at a time, or use the game's own delete action — on a game somebody else created it takes out all of yours at once and leaves the game itself for the team, which is exactly what you want here. On the web it is in the ⋯ menu in the game header, reading Remove my at-bats rather than Delete game; on the phone it is the trash icon in the header of the game opened from the Games tab. Every at-bat on a team game counts, including ones a teammate recorded, and the web page only puts the row trash icon on your own — so a teammate's comes off either from their device or from the phone, where every row in a team game's at-bat list is tappable.
