Set the batting order for one game

Change who bats where for a single game without touching the team's default, and give live scoring the order it needs before the first pitch.

A game's order is its own. It opens seeded from the team's default, or from that team's last game if there is no default, so most weeks you are moving two people rather than building a list. Saving it changes this game only — the team's default stays as it was.

Live scoring will not start without one, so this is also the step the Batting order row on the scoring setup screen takes you to.

On the web

  1. Open the game — from Games, or from the team's schedule.
  2. Click the ⋯ button in the game's header, beside the edit pencil, and choose Batting order. (From the live-scoring setup screen, the Batting order row goes to the same editor.)
  3. Use the up and down arrows to order the batters, and Add to bring in anyone under Not in the order.
  4. Click Save order.

On your phone

  1. Open the game — from the Games tab, or from the team's schedule.
  2. Scroll to the player table and tap Batting Order above it. (From the live-scoring setup sheet, the Batting order row goes to the same screen.)
  3. Hold and drag a row to move it; tap a name under Not in the order to add them.
  4. Tap Save.

Only team games have an order. On the phone the Batting Order link appears once the team has somebody else on the roster — a teammate using the app, or a ghost player you added. Anyone on the team can edit it; the order is shared, like the game itself.
