Set your team's batting order

Save a default batting order once and every new game for that team opens on it, so you are not re-arranging the lineup before each first pitch.

A team's default batting order is stored on the team, not on a game. Set it once and every new game for that team starts from it; change it later and only games you create after that pick up the change. Without a default, a new game seeds its order from that team's last game instead.

On the web

  1. Open Teams in the sidebar and pick the team.
  2. Open the Members tab. The team page opens on Stats, and the team's settings sit at the foot of Members.
  3. Scroll to the Team settings heading and click Batting order — the grey text beside it says how many players the current default has, or Not set.
  4. Use the up and down arrows to order the batters, and Add to bring in anyone under Not in the order.
  5. Click Save default order.

On your phone

  1. Open the Teams tab and tap the team.
  2. Tap Edit Team.
  3. Tap Batting order — the line underneath says how many players the current default has, or "New games start from this order" if there isn't one yet.
  4. Hold and drag a row to move it; tap a name under Not in the order to add them.
  5. Tap Save.

Batting orders only exist on team games, because they are shared with everyone on the team. A game you recorded on your own has no order to set. Ghost players — roster-only teammates who are not using the app — can be in the order like anybody else.
